Once a country star, now a pop star, Taylor isn't afraid to change things up—and we're not just talking about her music.

2006: Classic Coils

Taylor began her career with those classic coils. The second her star began to rise, everyone was eager to achieve this curly look with their hair.

Still holding on to her signature curls, we started to see a more romantic side to Taylor in 2007. This sweet updo at the 42nd Annual Academy Of Country Music Awards positioned her as the queen of romantic, fairytale styles.

2008: Loose Ringlets

The following year, Taylor loosed her ringlets just a tad for the 2008 American Music Awards. Still, she didn't skip on volume. She even trimmed her tresses a bit, though still opted for longer locks.

2010: Sleek & Straight

We saw a whole new side to Taylor's locks in 2010. At the 2010 American Music Awards, she walked the red carpet with sleek straight strands and blunt bangs. But, of course, she didn't part with her signature blonde color.

2013: '70s Inspired

Taylor ditched the black hat in 2013, but kept the blunt bangs. She tried a variety of looks for her red carpet appearances this year, though none were as iconic as this hairstyle at the 2013 American Music Awards. Messy hair, don't care!

2014: Bob'ed

The 2014 MTV Video Music Awards saw Taylor with her shortest strands to date. She was really out here rocking the shag haircut before it was cool, proving we're all taking trend cues from her.

2017: Beachy With Edge

When Reputation was released, Taylor Swift opted to keep her hairstyles relatively casual. She chose shoulder-length strands with beachy waves over any other look.

2018: Wild

While still touring Reputation, she brought the curls back. They were nowhere near as coily as they were when she first hit the scene, but it was nice to see her head back to her roots… literally.

2021: Blunt Bangs

Taylor hasn't held anything back this year, so it's absolutely fitting she's in her blunt bangs era. She looked like the boss at the "All Too Well" video premiere in New York recently. We've got to be blunt ourselves, we really do love this fringe on Taylor.
